RCA’s music faculty recruitment process identifies and trains musical talent without any prejudice or bias. We look out for candidates with a good balance of teaching and performance. They must be socially pleasant with a positive disposition.
The process, therefore, aims to create opportunities to encourage prospective faculties to exhibit their personality in some way or the other. Our first round of screening involves an interview with the HR personnel. There’s a high possibility of involving other Faculty members during the interview so as to assess the candidate’s social skills, attitude and approach towards music. This is followed by a technical assessment where we analyse candidate’s theoretical and practical knowledge of music. Here they are expected to perform a piece that represents their musical identity. We expect that the theoretical and practical understanding of music must also encompass a working knowledge of rhythm, melody and harmony.
For a new academy ’RCA Teachers’ Training Program’ is free of cost for the first six months.
